Overland is Seeking Candidates for Our Board of Directors
Overland's annual board election will be starting on October 17th. If you are interested in applying for a board position, please email your board candidate statement to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than October 16th. We will get all candidate statements posted online. There are 3 open positions we need to fill. Current members will be voting for 2 of these and the current board will appoint 1 other.
Overland's board of directors is made up of 7 positions...President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary and 3 At-Large directors. Candidates simply run for a general board position and then the board itself will determine the specific structure. Areas of need that Overland currently has include the following: fundraising, social media/communications coordinator, website manager, advocacy manager, accounting experience, social events/ride coordinator, volunteer recruitment and coordination and a few others. Experience in these areas is not required, however. Board positions are two-year terms.
Board candidate statements should be 3-5 paragraphs and include why you're interested in a board position, what you feel you can bring to the board, any relevant experience and a little about yourself and your background in mountain biking. Please contact us ASAP if you have any other questions.
