Active recovery -Active recovery workouts are low intensity and low volume workouts in which the goal is to get blood into the muscles that you worked the day before to enhance recovery. In addition, another goal with active recovery is to loosen up stiff muscles.
No reason to do a boring ride like this by yourself. Come by the Rio on Mondays at 6pm during daylite savings time and share your weekend war stories while you loosen the legs up. Its a super easy 20 mile ride at about 15mph. Hangout after for a marg or two.

TTH started as a lunch ride for HP workers, and grew to include people from all over FTC.
It leaves at 11:12a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. There are a handful of different routes we ride, South and East through Windsor, and then North on 257, or South around the Walmart Dist. center (famously called the Wally ride). Other times we head north through Timnath and around the Bud plant, or up Vine.
It is a fast ride with usually a decent warm-up before things get amped up...but when they do, you best hang on for dear life. It's a friendly ride, but everyone that shows up knows that it's a full-drop ride, no waiting.
This ride has a rolling start. Some riders are meeting at Source Endurance Training Center of the Rockies (1833 E Harmony Rd #20, Fort Collins, CO 80528) and some are meeting at Rock Creek Dr and Technology Prkway. The ride will roll from the Source parking lot at 11:12 and proceed to the Rock Creek Dr. They'll roll from there at 11:18 to hammer.
The Wednesday Worlds Ride has been around for 30 years and is arguably the hardest group ride in Colorado. If you have can finish with the lead group, you can win Pro, 1, 2 race anywhere in the nation.

Classic Loop-38 miles of mostly flat, a few rollers, usually windy and always Route Map
Owl Canyon, Dirt, Dairy, Dams (OCD)- 38 Miles the first 2/3s are mostly flat, the final 1/3 is across the Dams. There's a bit of dirt so if that scares you, leave the fancy wheels at home. Route Map
Short Loop- Usually reserved for the beginning and end of the season when daylight is a factor. 25 fast hard miles. Route Map
If you manage to survive the whole CLASSIC or SHORT LOOP, be prepared for a very hard final 500 meters. The sprint finishes at the top of a left hand sweeping climb near the cement plant on North Overland trail A white sign near at the crest of the climb marks the end of your suffering. Finish Map
The finish for the OWL CANYON DIRT DAIRY DAMS LOOP is at the top of Stadium Hill. Insult to injury.

06/15/2015 Due to liability concerns, as of Saturday June 13th, both the SOR (Saturday Open Ride), and the WOR (Wednesday Open Ride) will be leaving from the Harmony Library - Front Range County College parking lot. The Harmony Library is on the West end of the building complex that makes up FRCC campus located at 4616 S Shields St, Fort Collins, CO 80526. Riders will be meeting at the South end of the library parking lot area.

The Oval is a cold hard Colorado classic and the best way to spend a Saturday morning. Plus it will make you pretty fit too.
Bring your A game to the Southwest corner of the CSU Oval right in front of the Statistics Building. The ride heads out at 10am Saturday mornings The turnout is solid from early December until the racing starts in March or April. Start map
When this ride reaches its maximum distance of 80 miles it has it all. From flat crosswind sections, rollers, power climbs to the long grinds. The city limit sign east of Berthoud has become a hotly contested mid ride sprint. This ride doesnt stop for food, flats, pee breaks or bags of money. Last year I saw a guy loose a $30.00 frame pump and keep going. Now thats a training ride! Route Map
There seems to be some confusion about this. Some people think hit is at the top of the climb near the Horsetooth Mountain Park and some think it's a sprint to the speed limit at the end of the descent from the reservoir on Harmony Road. From now on lets call it at the speed limit sprint. This give the climbers a chance to get away and the sprinters a chance to chase them down Plus its the longer of the two options.
