Today we bid a fond farewell to the most successful cyclist to ever call Fort Collins home, Georgia Gould. In 2012 Georgia brought home bronze medals from both the Olympics and the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships. She’s won eight National Mountain Bike Championships and finished 2nd at cyclocross Nationals an annoying four times and countless other wins and podiums around the world. All these accomplishments however are rivaled by how genuine, humble, and approachable Georgia is. Whether you’re meeting her on the street, around a blind curve on the trail or at a cycling event she’s always willing to provide tips, encouragement or a friendly heckle with her wry smile.

In 2016 Georgia retired from professional cycling (2nd at cross country, short track and cyclocross Nationals), in 2017 she and her husband Dusty welcomed their first and currently only child, a baby girl. In 2018 the three of them will be moving to Vermont to be closer to family.

Good luck out East guys, Fort Collins will miss you.  Check out Georgia’s 10 Tracks below.
