James Scott is the Race Director for this weekend’s Cross of the North (volunteers needed, registration is open, merch available) and even more importantly, he’s our guest DJ on this week’s edition of 10 Tracks. James moved to Fort Collins four years ago and brought his East coast swagger to Cross of the North as the RD three years ago. He doesn’t generally pump up the jams while he’s riding, he usually listens to these when he working (senior consultant for NeuEno, Inc) traveling or getting swole in the gym.

Favorite bike: whichever one I’m on, but my custom steel Zanconato road bike is a sentimental favorite.
Favorite ride: I have to choose just one? The moonlight ride up Old Fall River Road in RMNP is pretty special.

Howling Cow Cafe

Howling Cow Cafe opened on July 1st, 2014, adjacent to Morning Fresh Dairy Farm hq, almost exactly a year after the Bellvue Bean closed down. That was a tough year for cyclists who were used to a mid-ride coffee break while doing the Dairy Loop. Lori and Robert Graves, the owners of Morning Fresh, managed to fill the void left by the Bean and then some.
