It might be the ‘off season’ for cycling but there are several events coming up, both on and off the bike, to help you get your cycling fix.
12 Weeks to Fitness 01/08/2019

12 Weeks to Fitness 2019 Edition is not just a riding studio package, you get take home workouts, planned rest periods, training tips, and deals on our spring camps and events.
Here’s the 411:
– Program start – January 8th
– 12 week indoor cycling program
– 1 or 2 sessions per week $179 or $299 respectively. Alternatively use your membership and get access to the full program. You can also drop in to classes by purchasing a single session or using your punch pass but you won’t receive the additional program perks.
– Includes a pre- and post- ramp test protocol for detailed training insights for your threshold.
– Differentiated engaging workouts written by professional cycling coach and rider, Zack Allison.
– Average gain of 11% in FTP, Functional Threshold Power, when 90% of sessions or more are completed.
– Includes take home workouts and rest periods for a full training package for 12 weeks
– Training and nutrition tips and articles delivered though email
Social, fun, motivating training environment
– Includes Winter TT omnium entries when classes overlap winter omnium time trials races.
-Access to showers, recovery boots, and weights/core equipment.
Bring your own bike, better yourself one workout at a time.
Choose your time. 12 weeks to fitness group workouts are T/TH 6:30am or 5:30pm. Workouts will progress week to week as you gain fitness. No experience or baseline fitness required. Everyone is welcome, no matter your fitness level. Weekly take home workouts and training tips included. It will also include the monthly TT series. Full Series: $299
Light Series (1 group workout per week): $179
A La Carte: Retail class $20 or use your punch pass
You can apply the 5, 10, or 20 punch passes to 12WTF but you need to be a member or buy the package to get the extra workouts and full product.

Ft Collins Old Man Winter Training: RUN or RIDE 01/12/2019

Join us for a fun training run or ride in Ft Collins. First 20 folks to arrive at Otter Shop will receive a free OtterBox tumbler! Doors open at 9:30 AM.
Riders will take on a 40ish mile gravel/paved ride on rolling terrain.

2 Days of Cold Toes-01/12/2018

How Much: bring cash for campsites.
The Two Days of Cold Toes, is a winter bikepacking trip and is part of the Winter Ralleye Series. Riders will ride up the Poudre Trail and camp at one of the NPS campgrounds as a group.
Saturday January 12th and Sunday January 13th 2019. Meeting at Swing Station at Noon and roll at at 1:00pm (on the 12th) to go camping up the Poudre Canyon.

Kristin Eagle Disposition Hearing 01/15/2019
When: 01/15/2019- 11am
Where: Larimer County Courthouse- hearing room 4A
The 5th hearing in the Kristin Eagle fraud case is set to take place on the 15th. The Larimer County DA has offer a plea deal. As I understand it, during this disposition hearing she will either accept the deal on the 15th and plead guilty or she will plead innocent and the case will go to trial. The details of the plea deal have not been officially released.

Do you have some bike trips on your schedule for 2019? Tearing down and rebuilding your bike can seem daunting but having that skill along with using Bike Flights can save you hundreds of dollars per trip! We’ll demonstrate and then you can practice tearing down, packing, and rebuilding your bike with experienced riders so you can leave confident. We’ll also go through common mistakes when rebuilding so you can easily troubleshoot on your own.
Bring your bike, a multitool, a cardboard box, and some packing material, or at the very least, your bike and a multitool.
Bike Flights is a shipping service for cyclists that costs less than half of what Fedex would charge you. They will also be providing a special giveaway to one lucky attendee.
Cost is $3. Snacks, drinks and giveaways included!
