The Colorado State University Cycling Team delivered a strong showing at the 2025 USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championships last weekend (May 2–4, 2025) in Madison. Racing in the Club Division, the Rams earned multiple top-10 finishes, including second-place results in both the men’s and women’s team time trials, a second-place overall finish in the Road Team Omnium and the WIN in the Year-long Team Omnium (cumulative points for the entire school year, across disciplines).
The team is entirely student-run, led by co-presidents Lucas Huesman and Maddie Blair, and vice president Isabel Naschold. Riders from the team’s men’s and women’s squads competed in a full weekend of events including the team time trial, road race, and criterium.

The team faced varied and often challenging weather throughout the weekend, with morning fog, rain, and temperatures as low as 37°F on Saturday, followed by clearer skies and highs in the 60s by Sunday afternoon. Despite the conditions, CSU riders showed consistency and teamwork across all disciplines.
In a message during the weekend, team alum, Tayne Andrade, gave this shoutout:
“Thanks to the folks that donated helmets and aero gear to the squad—it paid off!”
This spring’s results build on the club’s strong performance at the 2024 Mountain Bike Nationals, where CSU earned several national titles. The team also hosted the Cobb Lake Circuit Race and Oval Criterium this April, continuing its commitment to growing collegiate cycling in the region.
