Colorado cyclocross racers descended on the New Belgium campus again this year for Cross of the North, where 716 riders took to the course over two days of racing (370 on Saturday and 346 on Sunday). That’s slightly down from last year’s 726 total. Saturday’s races ran under cool, comfortable conditions, while Sunday brought near-record November heat that left the course dry and dusty. The event once again used most of the Send Town Dirt Pile layout, with organizers adding a few new features to keep things interesting. Huge thanks to the many volunteers, sponsors, vendors, and race staff who made the weekend possible, and to those who keep the junior races free. Special appreciation goes to New Belgium, MiiFlow Financial, and the MiiFlow Cycling Team, the event’s host team. A big thanks as well to Deb and Jeff Homan for once again sponsoring the Homan Prime.

Northern Colorado riders taking wins over the weekend included Liam Massing-Vincent, Matt Sodnicar, Steven Stefko, Emma O’Dell, June Porter, Emmaline Jarnevich, Felix Naschold, Suzie Livingston, Tayne Andrade, Charlie Mohr, John Lawyer, and Jj Laughon. Full results below.
