Fort Collins Gravel People is hosting a memorial ride for Minneapolis-based mountain biker Alex Pretti on Saturday, January 31st. The short, no-drop, paved ride will meet at Lee Martinez Park in Fort Collins at 12 pm.  The ride will begin at 1230.

Alex was murdered by ICE agents while peacefully exercising his 1st, 2nd and 4th constitutionally protected rights while protecting a woman who was being assaulted by ICE.

Schedule

  • 12:00 PM: Meet at the Lee Martinez Park parking lot (east of the tennis courts).

  • 12:15 PM: Brief remarks.

  • 12:30 PM: Route overview and departure.

  • Post-Ride: Regroup at Lee Martinez Park.

Ride Details

  • Format: This is a no-drop, 5.5-mile loop. The group will wait for all riders to return.

  • Terrain: The route is primarily paved with a short section of crushed gravel. It is navigable by any type of bicycle.

  • Support: The ride is self-supported; participants should bring their own tools, air, and nutrition.

  • Traffic: This is not a closed-course event or registered protest. Roads remain open to vehicle traffic, and no intersections will be blocked by police. Standard traffic safety laws apply.
