We’re dropping some more beets this week on 10 Tracks, Sugar Beets. Originally from Denver, Valerie Collins who rides for the Sugar Beets has been in Fort Collins for 15 years. She’s the friendly voice on the other end of the phone when you call Independent Plumbing Solutions. Another equal opportunity cyclist, Valerie rides all the bikes but prefers MTB.

Favorite Ride?  Easy, that’s gotta be Kennebec to Junctions City in Durango. Basically the last segment on the Colorado Trail. It’s got it all, high alpine riding in a remote and beautiful place, climbing and some of the best downhill around!

When do you listen to these?  Usually during hard intervals, pre-race, or really anytime I want to get pumped for something.

Howling Cow Cafe opened on July 1st, 2014, adjacent to Morning Fresh Dairy Farm hq, almost exactly a year after the Bellvue Bean closed down. That was a tough year for cyclists who were used to a mid-ride coffee break while doing the Dairy Loop.
