Press Release:

FR25 is a five-man cycling team with two groups, one social and the other racing, NoCo based, and Wellington founded.  “In 2021, I reached out to a handful of Wellington businesses whom I wanted to support and bring awareness to our local community to keep more money local in this time of COVID. Rich Efird, owner and military veteran of Sparge Brewing, was eager to partner up and support my individual cycling effort.  In 2022 when a handful of us lost our primary sponsor, Rich and Leslie decided to go all-in, along with Jill Schmitz, owner of Schmitz Telecom of Greeley, and a small team was born.”  We hope to continue to add local sponsors to our list of partners / businesses that we can support both on and off the bike.  Our individual focus is to continue to race and fly the logos of these great partners but is quickly evolving as we turn our focus on our first (and hopefully annual…) “Fundo” Bike Ride and Family Festival on August 6, 2022.  Departing and returning to Sparge, we are offering a 40-, 20-, and 10-mile gravel experience to benefit the Spargetoberfest 501c, whose benefactors include the Wellington Food Bank, Kiwanis of Northern Colorado, and American Legion.  The focus is to support our local charities and NoCo residents in-need, while bringing the growing community together for family fun and celebration.

Alpine Dental Health

Mick McDill with Alpine Dental Health is among the strongest masters mountain bikers in Northern Colorado (despite the stereotype, he does not ride a Yeti) with strong results at the Leadville 100, BC Bike Race, Breck Epic, and, more importantly, the Sendtown Tuesday night races. He's one of my favorite nemeses on Tuesday nights. I've yet to beat the PR I set while chasing him down Kimmons way back during a Lory Mountain Bike Challenge race. He's a longtime member of the Northern Colorado…
