Local sports medicine/family doctor, cyclist and author, Dr Brad Abrahamson has released his first e book. Inside Injury Diagnosis discusses the diagnosis, symptoms and treatments of 25 sports injuries. “This is a book of real injuries to real patients and how they were diagnosed and treated. It emphasizes tools such as physical exam, musculoskeletal ultrasound, MRI and x-rays to reach a conclusive diagnoses. It also emphasizes listening closely to the patient and situation. Each case is presented in a way that you can start to reach conclusions as each episode progresses. A treatment plan and alternatives to that plan are discussed. Each case ends with “Take home points.”

Dr Brad is a former YGR advertiser, 1st City Cycling sponsor and title sponsor for the Oval Omnium. He raced competitively on the road, track and is a USA Cycling Coach.
Dr Brad practices sports medicine at the Associates in Family Medicine’s Lemay office. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and is AFM’s fellowship-trained Sports Medicine physician, treating injuries in all age groups and at all athletic levels. He graduated with honors and with distinction in research from SUNY-Stony Brook Medical School in New York. He then completed his General Surgery internship and 2 ½ additional years in Orthopedic Surgery. He added a full residency in Family Medicine and finally a Fellowship in Sports Medicine.
