The Town of Berthoud’s Recreation Department announced yesterday that they plan to open the Berthoud Bike Park on September 16th.
“Believe it or not, we have an opening date! September 16th at 9:00 am, the Town of Berthoud, CO, will be holding the official grand opening of the Berthoud Bike Park! (If we could all keep our thoughts dry and sunny until then, it would be greatly appreciated.) We are all stoked and looking forward to seeing you all there! It’s going to be Rad!”

According to the Loveland Reporter Herald construction has started on Berthoud’s 24-acre, $2.2 million bike park. The park will be located inside the 86-acre Richardson Park, at the north end of Meadowlark Drive. According to town administrator Chris Kirk, the park will include “a bicycle playground designed to offer beginner bikers a variety of fun obstacles that will safely build cycling confidence, a momentum-maximizing asphalt pump park made up of berms and rollers, multi-level jump lines and a dual slalom track for the more experienced riders,”. The park is expected to open in the late summer or early fall.
