The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a hit and run injury crash involving a bicyclist that occurred this morning (08-23-18) at approximately 06:29 hours, on North Overland Trail, in Larimer County.
A 23 year old female bicyclist from Fort Collins was traveling northbound on North Overland Trail, just north of Laporte Avenue in the northbound bike lane.
An unknown vehicle traveling northbound on North Overland Trail hit the rear of the cyclist with the front of its vehicle causing serious bodily injury to the cyclist and then failed to remain at the scene.
This crash remains under investigation at this time. The State Patrol is looking for witnesses that may have noticed any vehicles in the area at the time of the crash. The vehicle should have damage to its front end.
