“Birthday suits are not a costume”
Did you see FoCo Fondo has added a costume relay to the Saturday lineup? Yep, 2-4 per people per team. Preliminary heats with single-elimination to advance to the championship final. Each race is 4 laps, and each lap is a half-mile. Prizes provided by the Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant. Full details below.

  • When: Saturday, July 18 @ 2:30 p.m. with a pre-race costume relay and race overview.
  • Teams: 2-4 people per relay, 24 teams max

  • Format: Preliminary heats with single-elimination to advance to the championship final. Each race is 4 laps, and each lap is a half-mile. Up to 6 teams on course per race, depending on final team count. No rider may complete more than one consecutive lap. There must be a handoff after each lap. The course will be on the New Belgium Brewing short track. Course map will not be provided in advance.

  • Costumes: Make it fun. Make it freaky. Make it yours. The only rules are that you must wear a helmet and your costume must not impede your visibility or ability to ride. Birthday suits are not a costume option.

  • Prizes: The championship team and crowd-determined best costume will receive a gift card to Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant.

  • Registration: Opens on June 15 on BikeReg. One registration per team. $50 per team entry. All teams must include a team name. Waivers are required for each rider.
