The Fort Collins cycling community is again rallying around one of their own. Local mountain biker and all-around good guy, Clint Knapp, underwent double fusion back surgery on February 20th. The ongoing injury which wasn’t attributed to a specific accident left Clint in an immense amount of pain. The pain, surgery and recovery have left him unable to work as a carpenter for the past two months. During his treatment, they also found an issue with his right hemidiaphragm that is impacting his breathing and will require treatment. This has obviously been a painful and stressful situation for Clint and he’s looking at a long recovery, both physically and financially.

According to the GoFundMe campaign set up by friends, Clint needs help with “daily expenses and rent to get through this tough time. With the Fort Collins Cycling community behind him, we can get Clint back on the trails riding nose wheelies again.” The campaign had raised $555 as of this posting and has a goal of $5000.

Please donate to his GoFundMe if you are able. He’s also looking or more sedentary temporary work until he recovers fully. If you know of anything please message YGR to be put in contact with Clint.
