Mission:

Melanated Lovelies is a Colorado-based cycling collective committed to the development of BIPOC riding and racing. Our vision is to inspire, prepare, and support riders of color in addition to the broader cycling community.

2024 Press Release

Since our debut in Fall 2023, Melanated Lovelies has raised over $5000 in support and mutual aid for athletes of color. Our team continues to challenge ourselves on- and off-bike in order to create space for those that look like Us. We humbly wish to inspire increased philanthropy and continued investment in Our community.

New Belgium Brewing

Fort Collins cycling and New Belgium Brewing go hand in hand. The idea for the iconic Fat Tire brand was born during a bike trip through Belgium in 1988. In 1991 the first beers were brewed in the basement of a home on Mountain Street. The brand has been supporting the local scene for decades. Everything from donating all funds from Tour de Fat to local cycling nonprofits to hosting Tuesday night shorttrack, Tuesday night cyclocross, Cross of the North and the FoCo Fondo.
