YGRStampLogo Black 1000Northern Colorado racers ended up having a pretty successful week at Cyclocross Nationals in Asheville NC last week. Georgia Gould was pushing the pace with Katie Compton until just over 1 lap to go when Katie got a small gap that Georgia wasn’t able to close down. She finished 2nd to Katie for the 4th time at a National Championship. Steve Stefko got caught behind an early crash that left him chasing the leaders for the entire Mens’s 40-44 race. It’s likely that crash cost him the race. He finished 3rd only a handful of seconds out of 1st. Kacey Campbell rode to a very impressive 4th place in the Collegiate D1 race, racing against the future of the sport.  Brannan Fix raced his way as high as 5th in the ultra competitive Men’s U23 race ultimately finishing in 8th.
