Colorado State University junior Elin Hartmann captured the Women’s Club Cross-Country Olympic (XCO) national title for the second straight year on Friday, October 16th, at Collegiate Nats at Powderhorn.

Bikes have been a constant for the Minneapolis native. Hartmann got her start racing on her high school cycling team with her father as head coach and her mother coaching alongside, developing through the Loppet Foundation’s Loppet Cycle Works (similar to SendTown) and Donkey Label Racing, competing in three junior nationals with the team before heading to Fort Collins. Hartmann also races on the road for CSU and the Rio. CX? “I’m definitely down to try CX! Probably should learn how to dismount and remount first! I have never really got into CX because I normally like a little rest season after MTB finishes up!”  Hartmann credits much of her success to longtime support from Freewheel out of Minneapolis and Orbea Bikes.

Outside of racing, Hartmann is majoring in Biomedical Sciences with plans to attend physician assistant (PA) school after graduation.

Here is an up-close look at the 2025 Orbea Oiz that carried Hartmann to the top step at Powderhorn.

Backed by longtime support from Freewheel Bike of Minneapolis and Orbea, Hartmann's race rig is dialed in and ready for her next block of collegiate and local racing.
