NoCoTrailReportLarimer County Natural Resources, City of Fort Collins Parks, and City of Fort Collins Natural Areas have partnered on the new NoCoTrailReport site just in time for the muddy winter trails.  The site aims to give NoCo trail users a single location to look for trail updates, something that in the past was tedious to say the least.  Trails at Lory State Park are not currently included but may be added at a later date. Teddy Parker-Renga, of Larimer County Natural Resources had this to say,  “For now, the site will contain only trails for the City of Fort Collins and Larimer County, but we plan to reach out to Lory State Park and others that manage trails locally.”

Have you ever gone all the way to a trailhead to find it closed for mud or trail work? What a bummer! Have you ever had to check three or more websites for trail condition information? What a bummer!

The frustration of an unexpected or unknown trail closure can now be avoided by checking http://www.NoCoTrailReport.org which covers trails managed by Larimer County Natural Resources, City of Fort Collins Parks, and City of Fort Collins Natural Areas. The interactive map at NoCoTrailReport.org uses red, yellow and green color-coding to indicate closed, caution, and open trails across the county. Click on a section of trail to get details explaining the closures and cautions. Use http://www.NoCoTrailReport.org for happy trails!

NoCo Trail Report is a collaboration between City of Fort Collins and Larimer County to provide comprehensive and official trail information for some of the most loved trails in the area.

The site can be “pinned to your home screen” on a phone or tablet to act like an app. For an iPhone, launch the Safari app, connect to NoCoTrailReport.org, tap on the “Share” button, and tap on “Add to home screen.” For a phone using the Android operating system, create a bookmark to the URL by opening NoCoTrailReport.org, tap the menu button and add the page to your bookmarks.
