Hot on the heels of the news last week that Fort Collins still leads the US in concentration of League of American Bicyclists certified Bike Friendly Businesses (BFBs), and has become the FIRST city to reach 50 bike friendly businesses, Bike Fort Collins, Northern Colorado’s oldest and largest bike advocacy group, announces our March Bike Friendly Business Development workshop: Tuesday, March 8 Fort Collins.

Northern Colorado can join the Network to receive free support and guidance in applying for certification. The BFB program is both a form or recognition and a set of guidelines that help interested businesses create spaces and culture that encourages staff to ride, and provides ease of access to cyclist customers Bike Fort Collins regards BFB development as a critical piece of our mission, and celebrates BFBs by featuring selected BFBs in newsletters and blogs. According to local BFB organizer Kurt Freiburg, the program makes great business sense. “It provides local and national recognition of your leadership while building community among likeminded businesses. Our team offers nocost workshops and hands on support during your application process.”

Join the other 1,132 BFBs across the nation, that are transforming their communities by creating

more bicyclefriendly destinations and workplaces. Apply to the program and see how bicycling can help your business create more energized, alert, and productive employees, decrease your healthcare costs, attract and retain top talent, and draw more customers. Interested in becoming a BFB? Join us for a workshop open to all aspiring or renewing BFBs on Tuesday, March 8 th at 7:00 p.m. Horse and Dragon Brewing, 124 Racquette Dr. Fort Collins.
