Zack Allison from Source Endurance and Source Endurance Training Center of the Rockies is our guest DJ this week on the 10 Tracks NoCo Coaches Series.  When Zack Allison first showed up on the scene in ’09 he was a chubby (by bike bike racer standards) likable, albeit opinionated, punk kid racing for CSU Rams Cycling. More often than not, he was sporting a bad haircut. In the ensuing 10 years he’s changed a bit; thinner, more calculated in sharing his opinions, faster, somehow taller… odd and has become a respected coach, pro athlete, business owner and event promoter. He still sports a bad haircut on occasion. This week we take his 10 Tracks selection for a spin as part of the NoCo Coaches series.

“Zack earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at Colorado State University. As part of his education, he participated in many hands on exercise science practicum and internships, coaching many types of athletes, specifically cyclists.

Zack’s affinity for cycling started at the early age of 14 racing on the east coast. He quickly moved up the amateur ranks to race on the elite national circuit. This level of competition sparked his interest in exercise science, taking him to Colorado State University. While racing for his alma-mater and on various amateur teams he saw many podiums at the Collegiate Championships and Pro/Am events. Zack is currently living in Fort Collins, Colorado and has raced for Elevate Pro Cycling and currently races for Clif Bar.”

Alpine Dental Health

Mick McDill with Alpine Dental Health is among the strongest masters mountain bikers in Northern Colorado (despite the stereotype, he does not ride a Yeti) with strong results at the Leadville 100, BC Bike Race, Breck Epic, and, more importantly, the Sendtown Tuesday night races. He's one of my favorite nemeses on Tuesday nights. I've yet to beat the PR I set while chasing him down Kimmons way back during a Lory Mountain Bike Challenge race. He's a longtime member of the Northern Colorado…
