After over a decade with ProVelo Bicycles, the 1st City Cycling Team will be representing the North and South Fort Collins Trek shops for 2023 and beyond. In a way, FCCT, which is among the largest and most active amateur cycling teams in Northern Colorado, is returning to its roots. The team was sponsored by Lee’s Cyclery in the early 2000s before partnering with ProVelo in 2009. Trek corporate purchased the three Northern Colorado Lee’s Cyclerys (two in Fort Collins, one in Loveland/Johnstown) from Archie Solsky in 2018. The 90-member team competes in road, mtb cx, and gravel races and promotes the Cross of the North cyclocross weekend and the City Streets Criterium series.  Alex Broyhill, the Trek North Fort Collins manager, has been working on engaging and supporting the local cycling community since he took over the position in November 2021. He had this to say about the sponsorship “I’m very excited about this partnership because my vision of community outreach, partnership, mentorship and inclusion strongly align with FCCT’s vision. It’s my goal to get more people on bikes and to create an easier pathway into the sport of cycling for more folks.”

Fort Collins Trek also sponsors Sugar Beets Cycling.

Be sure to check out the gravel ride leaving Trek North on Sunday mornings.
