In Lory State Park, the Galena Fire in March, 2013 completely burned out ten multi-use wooden bridges critical to resource protection as well as safe, fun travel on several of the Valley Trails. The Friends of Lory State Park is coordinating efforts to rebuild the bridges and allow these trails to fully reopen for recreational use. Volunteer groups and individuals are needed for various tasks on June 15, 18, 20 and 21. Weekday and weekend opportunities available.
