The City is beginning the process of updating its 2008 Bike Plan and 2011 Bicycle Safety Education Plan and we have several great opportunities for the community to get involved and help shape the future of bicycling in Fort Collins! Please forward this information on to your listservs, neighbors, friends, coworkers etc.
Community Bike Audits (limited to 20 participants/event):
To kick off the update to the Bike Plan, we invite you to participate in a series of community bicycle audits (bike rides) to collect on-the-ground feedback about bicycling in Fort Collins. Community bicycle audits are held on four Saturdays, beginning October 12, in four different parts of the city. Each audit will be approximately two hours long and around 6 to 8 miles in length. If you’re interested in participating in one of the community bicycle audits, RSVP now! If you are unable to attend, there will be many other opportunities to provide input as we update the Bike Plan. Register Here

- Northeast Audit is on Saturday, October 12 from 10 a.m. to noon.
- Southwest Audit is on Saturday, October 19 from 10 a.m. to noon.
- Southeast Audit is on Saturday, October 26 from 10 a.m. to noon.
- Northwest Audit is on Saturday, November 2 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Community Issues Forum (Bike Plan update will be one topic):
The City of Fort Collins, in collaboration with Colorado State University’s Center for Public Deliberation, will host a Community Issues Forum on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 from 6:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. in the Columbine Room of the Lincoln Center, 417 W. Magnolia St.The purpose of the forum is to give residents an opportunity to discuss and contribute ideas and opinions on a variety of topics. Topics will include Amendment 64 and retail marijuana businesses, City of Fort Collins Bike Plan updates, expanded smoking regulations and train horn noise in downtown.The Center for Public Deliberation will provide table facilitators and live polling to facilitate both a gathering of opinions as well as constructive conversations amongst participants. Participants may be particularly focused on one issue, but will also be asked to engage on all issues to gather broader feedback.
Online Bike Plan Update Survey (launching next week!):
We are finalizing an online survey to collect feedback about bicycling in Fort Collins. The results from this survey will feed directly into the update of the Bike Plan. The survey will go live next week. Check our website for updates: http://www.fcgov.com/
