Larimer County is updating their Horsetooth Mountain Open Space Management Plan in 2021. What does this mean to you? Opening new trails, closing some existing trails, trail reroutes, single-direction trails, bike-only trails, hiker-only trails, improved trail signage & mapping, better access for youth and intermediate-level riders, and so much more will all be on the table for discussion. All users groups and the general public will be invited to provide input directly to Larimer County during several public input opportunities this year. OMBA will be an active stakeholder throughout the process and will present our ideas for improvements. As the primary mountain biking & trails advocacy organization in this region, our proposals need to represent all mountain bikers regardless of age, background or ability level.
OMBA and Bicycle Colorado are partnering to bring you more information on this planning process. We’re inviting you to hear about our initial draft proposals and for you to provide feedback. This is a very important process that will determine the future of our trails & access in this area for the next 5-10 years. If you have any interest in Horsetooth trails then you need to be paying attention to this planning process.
Please register via Eventbrite in advance for the Town Hall. Registrants will be sent the Zoom link a few days prior to the Town Hall. You can also register day-of.
