National Bike Challenge | May 1 through September 30 | Help Fort Collins take the lead! The National Bike Challenge is a great way to log miles you ride all summer long, whether for recreation or transportation. Join a workplace team, or simply represent Fort Collins. Sign up to start, and get riding!

Open Streets | Sunday, June 5, Corbett Dr. from Harmony to Kechter, 10am-3pm | Come play in the Street! This car-free and family-friendly event encourages social and physical health by temporarily closing the street to cars and opening to everyone to bike, walk, play, and socialize. Connect with local business through fun and games, and check out our schedule for live music, classes, and demonstrations. More information here.

Bike to Work Day | Wednesday, June 22, 6:30-9:30am | Ride your bike to work and get free breakfast! Join follow cyclists in a celebration of riding to work. More than 40 breakfast stations will be located all around Fort Collins. Station map is coming soon. In exchange for free breakfast, take our online survey for a chance to win awesome prizes donated by many of our generous Bike to Work Day station hosts.

Neighborhood Night Out

Neighborhood Night Out (NNO) is an annual, nationwide event on the first Tuesday in August. The night is geared towards community building and safety. In Fort Collins, Neighborhood Services encourages neighbors to get together for events large and small. In addition to registering with Neighborhood Services,you can enter for a chance to have bicycle safety education provided by FC Bikes’ Bicycle Ambassador Program. Do you ever wonder how to safely navigate the road when cyclists are present? Learn to Ride for Adults-4-Week Class | Sessions each Thursday June 9-30, 5-6:30PM at 215 N Mason parking lot | or Sessions each Tuesday July 5 – 26, 5:30-7pm at 215 N Mason St parking lot | It’s never too late to learn to ride a bike! Using a safe and effective method, adults will learn to ride a bicycle, including starting, stopping, pedaling, and how to properly fit a helmet.Register Here

Women on a Roll | Monday June 13, 6:30-8PM at Raintree Athletic Club | For women who are interested in making bicycling more comfortable and more convenient, this free course is for you. Join other women from Fort Collins to learn tips and tricks, and discuss women’s specific clothing choice and gear options, safety principles, and ideas to integrate bicycling into your everyday life, even errands with children in tow! Cycle Touring Basics | Thursday July 7, 6:30-8pm at Raintree Athletic Club | Pedal to your next faraway destination this Spring! Learn about which bikes can be used for touring, the various types of panniers and trailers, camping equipment, and clothing. Discuss training, bike touring maps, and other essential resources to get you out on your first bike tour. Register Here

Smart Cycling | 2-part class Wednesday July 20, 5:30PM-9PM & Saturday July 23, 8:30AM-2PM at Westbridge Medical Suites | Saturday August 20, 8:15AM-4:30PM at Westbridge Medical Suites | This fun course is for beginning and seasoned cyclists alike and helps you gain confidence to ride safely and legally in an urban environment this Spring. You’ll learn basic on-bike handling skills, crash avoidance techniques, and bicycle safety checks. NOTE: bikes and helmets are necessary but can be provided if needed; request in advance. Women’s Learn to Ride – 4 Session Class | Class meets Mondays and Wednesdays August 1 – August 10, 6-7:30PM at 215 N Mason St parking lot |  In this free course for adult women (+16 years) interested in learning how to ride a bicycle. Using a safe, easy, and effective method, a female instructor will teach you how to balance, pedal, start, stop, and steer a bike. You will also learn how to properly fit a helmet and will leave with a new set of skills and access to resources to continue to improve. Learn to ride a bike this year! Register Here

Cycling with Children | Thursday August 11, 6-7:30pm at Raintree Athletic Club | Do you want to commute, run errands, or travel to school by bike with your children? In this class we will give you tips and tricks for how to get the whole family Rolling this Spring. You will learn about the benefits of cycling with children, kid-friendly gear and clothing, safety considerations, route selection, and how to teach children the rules of the road through bicycling.
