Alright, Fort Collins, get hyped.
Tessa and Jacob Machmer of Machmer Media have spent the last two years putting together a film that showcases the many levels of awesome that make up the Fort Collins cycling community.
They spent time with Fort Follies, SendTown Bike Club, Whit and Zack with FoCo Fondo, QueerPlus Bikes, Mike and Tim of Bike Fort Collins, Overland Mountain Bike Club, Ollies Bike Parade, Fort Collins Bike Co-op, CSU Transportation, Lauren Nagle, Ian Dickinson’s TFR crew, Alison Rehfus, YGR, and many others. They captured over 25 hours of footage along the way to create this 75min film about bikes, the people who ride them and the community built around them.
The result is The Bike Cycle, a film focused on Fort Collins cycling culture and the human connections forged on two wheels, while exploring bike safety, inclusivity, growth and the impact cycling can have on a community.
And this isn’t just a film screening. The event is also a fundraiser for the local advocacy organizations featured in the film, with 100% of the net proceeds from event fundraising going directly back to those organizations.
There will be custom merch, a raffle featuring gear, swag, gift cards and more from local businesses, plus a community happy hour following the screening.

About the Film
This film highlights Fort Collins’ vibrant cycling culture and the human connections forged on two wheels, exploring local bike safety, inclusivity, growth, and community impact.
Fundraising
This screening is a community fundraiser for the local advocacy groups featured on screen. 100% of the net proceeds from all event fundraising—including merchandise sales and raffle entries—will go directly back to these organizations. (Film ticket sales cover independent production and venue costs).
