New Begium Brewing and Niner bikes are screening Blood Road on July 20th. Blood Road is a film featuring Red Bull-Niner professional endurance athlete, Rebecca Rusch in her search for personal answers in the jungles of Vietnam.
Blood Road follows the journey of ultra-endurance mountain bike athlete Rebecca Rusch and her Vietnamese riding partner, Huyen Nguyen, as they pedal 1,200 miles along the infamous Ho Chi Minh Trail through the dense jungles of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. Their goal: to reach the crash site and final resting place of Rebecca’s father, a U.S. Air Force pilot shot down over Laos over 40 years earlier. During this poignant voyage of self discovery, the women push their bodies to the limit while learning more about the historic ‘Blood Road’ and how the Vietnam War shaped their lives in different ways.
Seating is limited for this screening so get there early. Show starts at 7pm, Thursday July 20. Rebecca will be there to answer your questions and talk about her experience.
It’s another awesome Fort Collins bike event and thank you Niner and New Belgium for pulling together to make this happen.
