According to a Colorado State Patrol release Wednesday morning, an unknown white sedan or small SUV was eastbound on County Road 8E passing a bicyclist who was also eastbound. As the vehicle passed the bicycle, it is believed the vehicle may have made contact with the bicycle, causing the rider of the bicycle to lose control and fall into the roadway. After falling off of the bicycle, the rider tumbled into the westbound lane of County Road 8E and was struck by a westbound 1994 Chevy pickup.

The driver of the pickup, 49-year-old Robert Conde of Loveland, was uninjured and remained on scene following the collision.

CSP is asking the public’s help in locating the white sedan or SUV and its driver for further questioning by calling 303-239-4501.
