The Oval criterium saw large crowds throughout the day and nonstop action around every one’s favorite course! The rams gained crucial omnium points in every race of the morning.
In the men’s A crit, the Rams worked to bring back every attack in order to set up George Simpson for the field sprint. In the final lap, Simpson had the position but unfortunately dropped his chain to finish fourth. Taylor Warren finished in eighth with much of the team close behind.
In the men’s B crit, Evan Kiesow-Butt positioned himself to perfection and came around to win the sprint! Rees York was close behind to take third.
The men’s C team dominated the field with Kyle Bloesser taking the win and Mark Currie close behind in fourth while Clint Sawyer and Tucker Keren were close behind to round out the top ten.
The women’s A team worked hard to take fourth, fifth and sixth with Maddy Tuggle, Mel Beale and Chrissy Esposito coming across together.
The season is now in full swing and the Rams are finding form right in time leading into the longer road races. This weekend is the Squawker Classic in Durango.
