According to the Longmont Times-Call newspaper, Firestone Colorado will be building a 1.29-acre bike park with a price not-to-exceed $573,931 at the southwest corner of Mountain Shadows Park. The park is being designed and constructed by the Missouri-based American Ramp Company and will include an asphalt pump track and jump lines.  Construction is scheduled to begin this spring, and the project has a target completion date of late summer or early fall.

For reference, Firestone has a population of 17,299. Berthoud, CO, with a population of 11,717, has begun construction on a 24-acre, $2.2 million bike park. Fort Collins, a nationally ranked cycling city, has a population of 168,538 and no bike park or official plans to build one.
