Fort Collins/NoCo will be contesting 8 races with 5 riders during Cyclocross Nationals in Hartford Connecticut this week. Brannan Fix, Amanda Miller, Skyler Trujillo, Olivia Cummins and Mike Boneberger all made the trip to Hartford’s Riverside Park. For the first time in recent years both Steve Stefko and Georgia Gould will not be racing. Stefko noted the expense, amount of vacation time required and his love of backcountry skiing as reasons why he was missing it this year. He’s planning a lighter local schedule next season so he can be fresh for Nationals in Reno. While Gould will be skipping the racing due to pregnancy, she will be working in the announcer’s stand.

Brannan has good odds for a podium in both the U23 race and the collegiate D2 race. The USAC race predictor has Olivia on the extended podium in 4th place in the 13-14 age group race. Amanda Miller has had consistent results on the World Cup and National level and will hopefully find herself battling Katie Compton for the Pro win.
