The Fort Collins Bike Park Collective has rolled out a new website emphasizing the need for a bike park in Fort Collins, specifically within a community park on the old Hughes Stadium site. The proposed Valmont-style bike park would occupy a portion of the 170-acre parcel of land, leaving space for other community facilities and activities. For reference, Valmont Bike Park in Boulder is 42 acres.

Get Involved Now!

  • The number one thing you can do right now is to let this city know that you are in favor of the Hughes site being used, in part, for a bike park. Here’s a link to that survey. It must be filled out by March 5th.
  • In addition to the survey, you can attend an informational meetup at New Belgium Brewing tonight, February 18th, starting at 6:30 p.m.

The new website hosts information on:

  • What a bike park in Fort Collins could look like and who it should serve.
  • Who supports the project- dozens of businesses have voiced their support.
  • Why Hughes is the ideal location.
  • Why we need to act now.
  • What are some common misconceptions about bike parks.
  • How you can get involved.
