A GoFundMe fundraiser has been established to support Karen Manley, one of the people injured in the crash near the end of Tour de Fat in Fort Collins on Saturday, Aug. 29th.
Manley’s partner, Joshua Robert Douglass, was killed in the crash. At the time of this article, the campaign had raised $6,115 toward its $26,000 goal through 72 donations. The fundraiser is intended to help with medical and recovery expenses, meals, groceries and other day-to-day costs as she recovers from her injuries and grieves the loss of her partner.

Karen Manley is a beloved coworker of Hannah’s and a dedicated job coach within a Denver nonprofit that serves individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Karen gives so much of herself to others through her work, and now she is the one who needs support. Karen was involved in the vehicle crash during Tour de Fat in Fort Collins, a shocking event that was reported in the news. Tragically, Karen’s partner passed away in the accident, adding an unimaginable loss to an already heartbreaking situation. In the aftermath of this tragedy, Karen is facing the physical and emotional challenges that come with recovery and grief.
This fundraiser is being created to help ease some of that burden and provide some cushion for the recovery process so Karen can focus on healing day by day. Donations will go toward medical expenses, recovery-related expenses, pet supplies for her four cats, meal support, and everyday extras like groceries or Amazon necessities.
