Over the past couple of years, Overland has put substantial resources into improving Sawmill Trail and that investment has paid off in a much more usable trail. Well, we will be at it again this Saturday, June 8th, making further improvements to the trail and we need more volunteers. Please come out to help us with this great project.
Details:
We will be working with Larimer County to create an additional spur of the Sawmill trail in the valley that heads north and connects near the connection of Horsetooth Mountain Park and Lory State Park. In addition there may be some work on the Sawmill reroute that was completed last year.
We’ll meet at the Soderberg Open Space trailhead parking lot at 8:30 am. Plan to work until 2pm or so. Lunch will be served at the completion of the day in the Soderberg parking lot. Please bring boots, gloves, snacks for when you are on the trail and plenty of water. Long pants and hats are highly encouraged
