I just received an update on the Front Range Trail and the Long View Trail Corridor from Zac Wiebe with Larimer County Department of Natural Resources.

Front Range Trail will connect Loveland’s Recreation Trail — just west of Boyd Lake State Park — to Fort Collins’ Fossil Creek Trail at Carpenter Road between Lemay Avenue and Timberline Road.

“The contractor is currently putting the finishing touches (fencing, seeding, etc.) on the Front Range trail. We’re planning a ribbon cutting on 11/14 to make the opening official but may have the trail open a little sooner if all the work is complete.”

Long View Trail Corridor will run from Fromme Prairie, South along Shields to 57th Street in Loveland.

“As for the Long View trail, it officially kicked off on Monday and the contractors will be mobilizing next week. They’ll be generally working from south to north, it’s currently scheduled to be complete by mid-summer but constructing over winter adds some uncertainty to that schedule.”
