The long awaited 4.4 mile Long View Trail which will connect Fort Collins and Loveland along Shields ave will officially open on Saturday August 18th. The 4 million dollar path is the second multi-use path to connect the two cities. The 2 mile Colorado Front Range Trail opened in November and connects the Power/Fossil Creek trails in Fort Collins to Boyd lake in Loveland.
Long View Trail Grand Opening Celebration
When: 8-11 a.m., with the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m.
Where: Sunset Vista Trailhead in Loveland with activities planned along Long View Trail.
What: Activities, giveways, a shuttle service, courtesy bike maintenance, and a ribbon cutting ceremony with a short presentation and refreshments
Parking: Carpooling is recommended, and parking is available at Front Range Community College in Fort Collins and Crossroads Church in Loveland.
