New Belgium 200Via Michael Craft of New Belgium

Ride for Reading is a national non-profit organization that promotes literacy and health through the delivery of books (by bicycle!) to schools where lower-income students might not otherwise have books at home.  New Belgium is kind enough to help collect books for the next month in the LC (just bring the books to New Belgium, they’ll direct you from there).  Spread the word-each donation will receive a free taster!

We are looking for elementary school level books in good condition up until Sunday May 4th.

Want to help us deliver?  We are looking for many folks to help deliver (by bicycle!) via panniers, trailers, backpacks, bike racks, etc.  We’ll meet at the new Fort Collins Bike Library (250 North Mason-Downtown Transit Center), load up and ride out on the following dates.

Monday May 5th: meet at 8:45am, deliver at 9:30am, should be finished around 10am.

Wednesday May 7th: meet at 8:15am, deliver at 9am, should be finished around 9:30am.

Please email (info (at) yourgroupride (dot) com for contact info about the program or to volunteer to deliver the books.

Cheers

Michael Craft

Howling Cow offers a comfortable patio with views of the foothills, great coffee, Ummbers IceCream, Noosa Yoghurt, baked goods, and other…
