Some of you may have noticed a message on the Niner Bikes website noting that the Fort Collins-based bike brand was pausing sales while they moved. I reached out to Niner president Chris Sugai to find out what was moving and where to. According to Sugai, Accounting, the Dealer Showroom, Marketing, Operations, R&D, and Rider Services are moving across Prospect Road to 1825 Sharp Point #110, here in Fort Collins, CO.  In order to be closer to the port and to make logistics easier, the warehouse is moving to in San Pedro, CA. About 15 of Niner’s 30 employees will be based out of the new location. Most others are involved in sales and are spread throughout the country. Unfortunately, none of the local warehouse staff was retained. Niner staff started packing in April and everyone should be settled in at the Sharp Point location by May 5th.
Niner has 400+ dealers across 20+ countries. The MTB and gravel-specific bike manufacturer started in SoCal in 2005, opened a location in Fort Collins in 2008 and by 2011 all operations had moved to Northern Colorado. In March of 2018 Niner was purchased by UWHK Ltd a Hong Kong-based investment firm that focuses on outdoor brands.
