The Team Optum Women’s professional cycling team will be coming to Fort Collins for a pre Worlds time trial training camp. Team director, Pat McCarty, is looking for host housing for the team from Aug 7th through the 10th.

YGR will probably host one or two grass roots time trials while they are here to help them with their training.

Hello Fort Collins!

Patrick McCarty here.  I’m a freshly retired pro cyclist, and Fort Collins resident that now manages the Team Optum Women’s professional cycling team.  One of our team’s major goals for this season is the Team Time Trial World Championships on Pontferrada, Spain on September 21st.  The team placed 6th in the event last year, and we have been working hard all year to improve in the discipline.  Myself, along with our other director, have brought a ton of racing experience to the women’s team this year.  We have a very-well rounded team that I strongly believe can medal in September!  For our last preparatory act, I want to bring our ladies to train in Fort Collins.  I think this is a perfect place to hold just about any bike camp, and so I’m very excited to bring our ladies in to polish off our training for worlds!  We will be looking for host housing in our wonderful community to pull this camp off.  It could be a very neat opportunity to meet some of North America’s best female cyclists, and be close to the action as we train for our biggest event of the year.

We are looking to house 8 riders and 2 staff members (10 total) for the dates of August 7th to the 17th – a 10 day span.   Please get in touch with me any time if you have any questions, or would like to host!

Thank you,
Pat
