Overland Mountain Bike Association announced today that it had hired Samantha Boon, formerly Samantha Welter, as its new Membership & Outreach Coordinator. According to the original job posting, Sam will work with OMBA’s Executive Director & Board of Directors on the membership, communications and community outreach programs.  Congrats, Sam.

Here is OMBA’s announcement.

With four solid candidates for this position, we had one stand out as the best fit. Please welcome Samantha Boon as OMBA’s first-ever Membership & Outreach Coordinator!

Samantha brings a wealth of social media and communications experience, plus many existing friends in our local mountain biking community. As a co-founder of Sugar Beets Cycling Team, she advocates for getting more women on bikes. A long-time member and supporter of OMBA, she has been actively engaged in our community for the past 7 years volunteering, hosting events, leading group rides and skill clinics. Samantha’s passion for mountain biking is only surpassed by her love of food.

As OMBA’s Membership and Outreach Coordinator she will be instrumental in ensuring a strong membership base and providing timely communication to our members and NoCo community. When you see Samantha out and about at local events, socials, and rides, be sure to bang out a high five!
