2026 Race Dates: Six Tuesdays, May 12, 19, 26; June 2, 9, 16

The Dirt Pile races at New Belgium Brewing have introduced countless people to mountain bike and cyclocross racing since they began close to 20 years ago. The atmosphere is energetic and welcoming, with a low entry cost and exciting racing that guarantees a great time. The beer garden and food trucks contribute to the Fort Collins vibe. Racing takes place on Tuesday nights, and be sure to arrive early for the free kid’s races. The races are hosted by Send Town Bike Club, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to getting kids on bikes in Fort Collins, courtesy of New Belgium Brewing.

Howling Cow Cafe

Howling Cow Cafe opened on July 1st, 2014, adjacent to Morning Fresh Dairy Farm hq, almost exactly a year after the Bellvue Bean closed down. That was a tough year for cyclists who were used to a mid-ride coffee break while doing the Dairy Loop.
