The SendTown Bike Club is hosting a free Coach Training Program this Spring and the program kicks off with an introductory social event on Wednesday, March 23rd.  Full details are below.

Calling all coaches!  We have a coach program this spring to get you ready to hit the trails with confidence. Join us Wednesday, March 23 from 6:30 to 8:00pm for a social event at Nick’s Italian. You’ll learn all about what it takes to be a rad Send Town coach.

Explain Send Town … History and Mission Statement

BOD and Staff Introductions.

Describe our main programs that we offer: Spring (HS &MS) MTB Fall CO High School and Non-Race Fall…Duration, Practice Schedule, and general info.

Present the Coaches Program 

We will breakdown the 4 main skills we will be teaching within our program, one practice at a time, teach these skills to the coaches by running various skill/drill stations, then explain/and teach how to teach these skills on the trail during practices, while we r on our ride that day.

Cornering

Climbing

Descending

1st Practice after the social would be half Classroom stuff for like 1 to 3 hours. We would go over General information such as Rules and Regulations, Policies Practice Structure,  Terminology. How we log our practices in Coach Zone. Plan the ride, ride the plan. Concussion and First Aid. Then the second half of that first day would be a trail ride in which the riders will be taught how to teach bike body separation.  We hope to see you on March 23rd!
