Local authorities are searching for a silver sedan with front end damage and a broken windshield in connection to a hit-and-run that left cyclist Ernesto Wiedenbrug dead. The crime took place at roughly 530pm Saturday January 25th. Colorado State Patrol officers found Wiedenbrug at the scene with serious injuries. The driver had already fled, heading North on the Frontage road. Weidenbrug was transported to the Medical Center of the Rockies, where he died of his injuries.
Both the driver and Wiedenbrug were heading North on the West Frontage Road, North of Highway 392 near Windsor, when the collision occurred. The posted speed limit on the frontage road is 55mph.
