Lees Kit

This week we’re profiling Lee’s Cyclery- Trek Bikes.  The team has already been wracking up some impressive results at races like the Tour of the Gila and the Koppenberg.

Lee’s Cyclery – Trek Bikes

Launched in 2013 and based in Northern Colorado, the Lee’s Cyclery – Trek Bikes team includes local, masters-level racers competing in a wide range of cycling disciplines. The team encourages members to get involved in the cycling community, participate in group rides, and race, but it does not mandate when, where, or what members race. The team endeavors to create a culture that supports the competitive and social aspects of cycling while balancing team commitments with the personal, family obligations of each member. This year, the team will donate all sponsorship dollars to Book Trust. Book Trust has a direct, positive impact here in Fort Collins and the Northern Colorado area by providing Scholastic books to elementary school children from low-income families.
The team’s title sponsor is Lee’s Cyclery – a Northern Colorado Bike Shop with three locations, established in 1963 and owned locally by Archie Solsky. For 2018, the team continues its participation in Trek Bicycle Corporation’s “Great Athletes” team sponsorship program; Trek is a major US bicycle manufacturer and distributor founded in 1975 and based in Waterloo, Wisconsin.
Over the previous two seasons, the team collected more than 170 road race results with 30 podium (top 3) finishes, 100 cyclo-cross race results with 13 podium finishes, and 10-15 mountain bike or gravel races. In 2018, the team will focus on results in 40+ Cat. 3 and Cat. 4 road races and crits throughout Colorado, in addition to success in stage races (including Tour of the Gila).

Bike Sports

What to say about Whitney and Zack Allison with the Bike Sports, Gravel Graceland and FoCo Fondo brands.... The professional gravel racers have been working hard to build their empire while simultaneously lifting the entire Northern Colorado Cycling scene. Their efforts to make cycling and especially gravel riding accessible and welcoming to everyone should be embraced and replicated at events across the country. I'm continually in awe of their positive energy and entrepreneurial spirit.…
