September 5, 2017 – Northeastern Colorado – Travelers should expect traffic stops with delays of 10 minutes from west of the intersection with US 287 (Ted’s Place)

LARIMER COUNTY – Beginning next week, the Colorado Department of Transportation and contractor Jalisco International will begin a roadway safety and improvement project on Colorado Highway 14 (Poudre Canyon Road) from mile points 102.3 to 116.5, west of the intersection with US 287, in Larimer County.

The purpose of this project is to provide roadway safety by installing guardrail and working on asphalt patching and pavement marking and signage. Work on this project will be divided in three different sites:

  • Site 1: from MP 102.3 to 105.8
    Site 2: from MP 105.8 to 116.1
    Site 3: from MP 116.1 to 116.5

TRAVEL IMPACTS:

Starting Monday, Sept. 11, motorists should be aware of traffic impacts during construction hours from MP 102.3 to 116.5, including:

Lane closures and lane shifts through the course of the project.
Motorists will be placed in a single-lane configuration with traffic flow switching between eastbound and westbound directions. Flaggers will stop traffic for up to 10 minutes and then release queues.
Loads larger than 10-feet will be restricted.
Normal working hours are from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and the expected completion date is mid-November 2017. Jalisco International is the prime contractor for this $556,584 project.
