What is Open Streets?

Open Streets events promote alternative transportation and invite people to experience public streets in ways other than driving.

2015 marks the second year for these events in Fort Collins with one that happened on June 7th and another planned for September 20th. Over two miles on Remington Street (between Lake and Mountain) will be filled with activities, so consider riding a bike to experience it all.

For more information on the national initiative, visit openstreetsproject.org.

  • Promote a culture of health & well-being.
  • Increase awareness and acceptability of streets as public facilities with multiple uses.
