Howling Cow Cafe opened on July 1st, 2014, adjacent to Morning Fresh Dairy Farm hq, almost exactly a year after the Bellvue Bean closed down. That was a tough year for cyclists who were used to a mid-ride coffee break while doing the Dairy Loop. Lori and Robert Graves, the owners of Morning Fresh, managed to fill the void left by the Bean and then some. Howling Cow offers a comfortable patio with views of the foothills, great coffee, Ummbers IceCream, Noosa Yoghurt, baked goods, and other snacks for cyclists passing by, employees of the dairy, Noosa and Ummbers as well as local residents and those passing by on Highway 287. Shortly after Howling Cow opened, Lori Graves, an avid mountain biker, signed on with YGR as an advertiser flying banners for both Howling Cow and Morning Fresh. Over the past several months, the cafe has undergone a massive remodel that will allow more patrons inside, more seating outside and will provide a much more efficient area for employees to curate delicious drinks and food for their guests. They are open during construction in a popup location nearby. Be sure to stop by the next time you’re in the area and tell them thanks for supporting the scene.
