As I mentioned last week, I’m putting in a big push to add new advertisers to YGR during the month of September, and I’m stoked to welcome another true Fort Collins staple to the family: Gib’s NY Bagels.

Gib’s isn’t just the spot for a legit New York style bagel, they’ve been fueling the Northern Colorado community for over three decades. I’ve been using Gib’s as my unofficial remote office for years, so it’s pretty rad to see their banner flying on the site. They’ve always been huge supporters of the local cycling scene, sponsoring SendTown Bike Club, donating 10,000 to 15,000 bagels to local events every year, and keeping our community well-fed and smiling. Fun facts: the First Husband of Gib’s, Coach Zack, is a Send Town coach. Another fun fact: Sara’s Avocado Toast is named after the First Lady of YGR. True story, check the menu and ask me about it sometime. And coincidentally, the President of Gib’s, Rachel Yendra, grew up across the street from YGR HQ. #howaboutthat.

Their community impact goes well beyond cycling. Each Gib’s shop has a Christmas Giving Tree, staff regularly volunteer at local events, they provide employment opportunities for developmentally challenged individuals, and they support area churches and The Food Bank for Larimer County.

Gib’s partners with fellow YGR advertiser Morning Fresh Dairy Farm to source their dairy products. If you’re already on Morning Fresh’s route, you can even add Gib’s bagels to your home delivery order and get them straight to your doorstep.

With three Gib’s stand-alone locations, three Gib’s & Spoons combos, and three Spoons stand-alones serving up scratch-made soups, salads, and burritos, you’re never far from a great bagel or soup in NoCo. Soup season is coming!

Big thanks to Gib’s for supporting YGR and helping keep the wheels turning in Northern Colorado. Swing by one of their shops or let Morning Fresh bring the bagels to you and taste why Gib’s is a Fort Collins institution.

Gib’s donates thousands of bagels to the following events and organizations, plus several others, every year: 9 News Health Cares, Habitat for Humanity, BeneFIT FOR LIFE, Human Race, Run and Walk, Larimer County Child Advocacy Center, Boys and Girls Club of Larimer County, Larimer County Democrats, City of Fort Collins Parks and Recreation, Poudre Valley Hospital, Crossroads, Rancho Vista Equine Therapy Center, Colorado State University, Rocky Mountain High School, Larimer Humane Society, Rocky Mountain Sustainable Living Association, First Presbyterian Church, Turning Point Center, Food Bank of Larimer County, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Foot of the Rockies 5k, Fort Collins High School

Alpine Dental Health

Mick McDill with Alpine Dental Health is among the strongest masters mountain bikers in Northern Colorado (despite the stereotype, he does not ride a Yeti) with strong results at the Leadville 100, BC Bike Race, Breck Epic, and, more importantly, the Sendtown Tuesday night races. He's one of my favorite nemeses on Tuesday nights. I've yet to beat the PR I set while chasing him down Kimmons way back during a Lory Mountain Bike Challenge race. He's a longtime member of the Northern Colorado…
