It’s been a second since I’ve published a Ride Review but since Brannan Fix had such a great start to his 2021 Elite CX season, I figured I’d run this review of his 2020 Pratt CX bike that I’ve been sitting on. 2020 was kind of a soft opening for Fix Racing with little racing to be had but Brannan, a Fort Collins native and the 2017 Collegiate Varsity National Cyclocross Champion, came out guns-a-blazing in 2021. He’s gone 12, 7, 9, 7 so far this season against the country’s best racers. A very brief run-in with a tape stake dislodged him from the lead group on Saturday’s Rochester C1 and on Sunday he dropped a chain with 1.5 laps to go in Rochester’s C2, dropping him from 5th to 7th. I’ve got five bucks that say he cracks the top five this coming weekend in either the UCI C1 or C2 in Charm City.

You can watch the Rochester recaps and the Charm City live streams on GCN.

Brannan will be racing on two identical, other than paint, Pratt Frameworks frames equipped with Shimano components and wheels. Pratt Frameworks is a custom frame builder out of Providence, RI.
